Why there is no single VOC number
VOC limits are set per country and per product category, and they change over time. A figure that is compliant in one market can be meaningless in another. For that reason SANHE quotes VOC against a destination market and a specific SKU, not as a blanket average across the range.
What standard export grades cover
For most non-European markets — across Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, South America and Southeast Asia — SANHE's standard export clear coats and color systems satisfy the applicable local VOC requirements. If your customers do not ask for a numeric value, the standard grade is normally the correct, cost-effective choice.
When you need a numeric compliance target
If a tender, regulation or customer demands a specific VOC value, the correct process is: identify the country and product category, confirm the applicable limit, then select or formulate a grade comfortably below it. SANHE's working rule for such requests is to target at least 50 g/L below the local limit, giving you a safety margin against testing variation.
The European case
Some strict European regulations cannot be met by standard stock grades. The honest answer is not to decline the opportunity and not to mislabel stock product: SANHE manufactures custom formulations engineered to meet the applicable European VOC requirement for your programme.
Documentation for your customers
Ask for the technical data sheet and, where required, the safety data sheet for the exact SKU and pack size you are buying. Compliance is a property of a specific product and pack, not of a brand.
